Video to GIF

Choose a video segment, width, and frame rate to create a silent looping GIF with current account limits.

Open the tool

Video to GIF turns a selected segment into a looping animation for product demos, tutorials, or social content. Encoding runs in the browser, while conversion uses credits according to the page's rules.

Input and account limits

Input is limited to 200 MB and 120 seconds. GIF output can be up to 60 seconds.

SegmentFirst 10 seconds at mostSelect a starting point, up to 60 seconds

Steps

  1. Upload a playable video and check its duration.
  2. Choose segment length; paid accounts can also choose its starting point.
  3. Choose width and frame rate. Start with 5 seconds, 480 px, and 10 FPS.
  4. Check estimated credits, convert, and keep the page open.
  5. Preview the loop and download the GIF.

Credits and file size

The current rate is 10 credits per minute of selected footage, rounded up. With the current 60-second maximum, a segment costs 10 credits; use the button's current estimate.

GIF output has no audio. If the file is too large, shorten the segment, reduce width, or lower frame rate. Keep a video format when you need sound.

Common questions

Why are the starting point and larger widths locked?

Free accounts are limited to the first 10 seconds and 480 px. Paid accounts unlock other starting points, longer segments, and larger dimensions.

Can I restart after cancelling?

Yes. Cancelling stops conversion. The processing engine may need to load again when you restart.
