Vocal remover questions, answered

How do I remove vocals from a song online?

Sign in, upload an audio file and choose Instrumental. Check the credit quote, start separation and download the backing track when processing is complete.

Can I make a karaoke backing track?

Yes. Choose Instrumental to separate the accompaniment from the vocals. Download the result for your singing practice or cover recording.

Can I extract the vocals instead?

Yes. Choose Vocals to extract an acapella, or Both tracks to receive the vocals and instrumental from the same upload.

Which audio formats can I upload and download?

After signing in, the upload area lists supported audio extensions and the size limit. You can also select MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV videos: the browser extracts the first audio track, then uploads only that audio. The extracted audio must also fit the size limit. Results are WAV files.

How much does vocal separation cost?

The quote uses the detected audio duration, rounded up to whole minutes. For example, 61 seconds counts as 2 minutes. You see the total credits before starting.

How long can I use an uploaded source?

An uploaded source is valid for one hour. Start within that window, or upload it again. A submitted task can still be checked after the source expires.

How can I get a clearer vocal or instrumental track?

Use the best original audio available and avoid distorted or heavily compressed copies. Reverb, layered harmonies and dense mixes can leave traces in either track; listen to both results to choose the one that fits your edit.

Can I separate vocals on my phone?

Yes. Open this page in your browser, sign in and select an audio file from your device. You can preview and download the results without installing a separate editor.
